District 9 Incumbent Declines In-Person Interview

City Times Staff
Mary McComb is running for reelection as District 9 representative on the Stevens Point Common Council.
McComb was first elected to the City Council in April of 2015, beating longtime Councilman Randy Stroik.
She owns Sugar Doll Chocolates & Cards, a downtown candy and gift shop. Her Facebook page can be found here.
McComb declined multiple requests for an in-person interview, offering instead to answer questions via email.
City Times staff believed this gave McComb an unfair advantage over other candidates, who cooperated with live interviews.
