Jennings Declines Interview for Council Run

Tori Jennings is running for District 1 representative on the Stevens Point Common Council.
Jennings is currently the chairwoman of the city’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. She proposed a new abandon bicycle ordinance for the city, which was later passed, and was instrumental in securing a $400,000 grant for installing bicycle lanes along 14 miles of roadways throughout the community.
She teaches anthropology at UW-Stevens Point and previously worked as a firefighter in Littleton, Colo.
Jennings has declined multiple requests for an in-person interview over the past several months. She is challenging incumbent George Doxtator.
