April 13

OWI: Police arrested a 24-year-old man during a traffic stop near Michigan and Fourth avenues at 12:08 AM on charges of operating under the influence and operating left of center.

Bail-Jumper: A 27-year-old woman was arrested for bail-jumping from a residence on the 700 block of Johns Dr. at 9:28 AM.

Unruly Teen: Police were called to a residence on the 500 block of Fourth Ave. after a caller there reported a 13-year-old boy was out of control and broken a $150 window at 12:49 PM.

Assault: Deputies responded to a County Tk. D home in Amherst at 4:54 AM, where they arrested a 46-year-old man for substantial battery, intend bodily harm.

Bad Driving, Bad Boy: Police stopped a 17-year-old boy for failure to yield near Elk St. and Arlington Pl. at 2:36 PM, but during the traffic stop police found evidence of drugs. The boy was arrested after police found .4 grams of marijuana, a homemade bong fashioned out of an empty Hennessy Cognac bottle, a homemade bong made from a Powerade bottle, a scale and pink notebook.

Jerk: Police were called to a gas station on the 4900 block of Main St. after an employee there reported a 26-year-old man stole a $7 stick of Kickass Peppered Beef Jerky at 10:40 PM.

April 14

Thrown From Car: A 17-year-old girl reported being thrown off a moving vehicle while she was trying to retrieve her friend’s property on the 1200 block of Northpoint Dr. at 2:35 PM.

Driving While Holding: A 20-year-old man was cited for possession of THC after he failed to stop for a flashing red signal near Union and Portage streets at 12:24 AM.

OWI: After watching him drive on the curb at 2:56 AM, police pulled over a 38-year-old man at Third St. and Centerpoint Dr. on suspicion of drunk driving. The man was arrested for OWI, non-registration of auto and failure to keep his vehicle under control.

Assault/Robbery: Police responded to a reported assault and robbery on the 3500 block of Bush St. at 8:39 AM.

Underage: A 20-year-old man was cited for underage drinking after officers conducted a compliance check at a bar on the 1300 block of Second St. at 10:01 PM. Another 20-year-old, a female, was also cited during a compliance check at a bar on the 800 block of Second St. at 10:28 AM.

OWI: A 53-year-old man was arrested for driving the wrong way on Main St. at 11:12 PM. He was also cited for OWI, first offense, driving against traffic and operating without insurance.

April 15

Third OWI: Police arrested a 28-year-old woman for her third OWI, failure to install interlock ignition device and bail-jumping during a traffic stop near Division St. and Schofield Ave. at 2:55 AM.

Facebook Bully: A 40-year-old woman called police to report someone was harassing her daughter on Facebook at 9 AM.

April 16

Domestic Abuse: A 39-year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and domestic abuse from a residence on the 3000 block of Cleveland Ave. at 3:58 PM.

Armed Robbery: Police responded to a residence on the 3100 block of Whiting Ave. after a caller reported two men, both 19, were suspected of robbing two 20-year-old male residents in an apartment complex using a handgun and shotgun. The teenagers were later cleared of any involvement. The robbers reportedly got away with an undisclosed amount of marijuana and $2,500 cash, comprised mostly of $20 bills.

Fourth OWI: Deputies arrested a 37-year-old man for his fourth OWI offense during a traffic stop near County Tk. D in Plainfield at 2:56 PM.
