Ronald K. Barden

Ronald K. (Kenneth) Barden, 64, Stevens Point, found eternal peace Sunday, April 16, 2017, while residing at the Atrium Care Center.
Ron was born May 31, 1952, in Stevens Point. He is the son of Roselyn (Fletcher) Barden of Plover and the late Kenneth Barden.
He attended local grade schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1972. He enlisted in the United States Air Force Jan. 7, 1972, in Milwaukee. He served as a sergeant with his four-year tour with the 305th Security Police Squadron. He was honorably discharged Nov. 4, 1975, at Grissom Air Force Base in Peru, Ind.
After his discharge, Ron started his life long career working at Redi-Mix concrete company. Ron was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and the simple pleasures in life like hiking the woods and cooking. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He always made time for special occasions with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Fiancé Lance Linzmeier) Barden, Milladore; two grandchildren, Sierra and Thomas James; his mother, Roselyn Barden, Plover; four brothers, Tod (Kim) Barden, Plover, Dennis (Cindy) Barden, Plover, Kip (Kim) Barden, Pardeeville, and Brian Barden, Plover; and one sister, Darlene (Randy) Yonke, Plover.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica; his father, Kenneth; maternal grandparents, Ward and Coral Fletcher; and paternal grandparents, Wayne and Roweana Barden.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover, with the Deacon Vern Linzmeier officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home until the time for service. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Liberty Corners Cemetery in Plover.
