Online Chat Will Dive into Waterway, Wetland Regulations

Water regulation specialists from across the state will be available during a Department of Natural Resources “Ask the Experts” online chat Thursday, April 20, at noon.
DNR water management specialists work with a riparian land owners to protect the public’s interest in waterways and wetlands.
If you own property with frontage on a stream or lake this is an opportunity to ask any questions you might have about waterway or wetland regulations in Wisconsin — and the process of obtaining permits — in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of an online chat.
The chat will run from noon to 1 PM. Participants will learn how DNR protects navigable waters in the state and assists riparian landowners and contractors with such issues as shoreline erosion, pier and culvert construction, dredging and more. This is also an opportunity to learn about the public’s interest in navigable waterways and wetlands and the many values they provide.
