Russell Gymnastics gymnasts compete at state meets

In March, 17 optional-level gymnasts and nine Xcel-level gymnasts from Russell Gymnastics in Stevens Point competed in their respective U.S.A. Gymnastics state meets. They qualified for their state meets during the competition season, which ran January through March.
Optional-level gymnasts qualifying for the state meet were Natalie Bialas, Giana Bolton, Jayden Bruneau, Josie Dietrich, Kelly Gruber, Riley Keene, Tessah Lang, Shelby Lutz, Madelyn Manternach, Megan McGinley, Abbigail Mitchell, Arianna Ostrum, Tessa Sanders, Kali Schierl, Jillian Space, Katelyn Trowbridge and Ashlyn Vicko.
In Level 7, gymnasts Arianna Ostrum (Jr. A), placed fourth on vault, third on bars, eighth on beam, sixth on floor and third in all-around; Giana Bolton (Jr. B) placed 11th on vault, 13th on bars, 19th on beam, 22nd on floor and 20th in all-around; Josie Dietrich (Jr. C) placed first on vault, seventh on bars, 16th on beam, first on floor and fifth in all-around; Tessah Lang (Jr. C) placed 15th on vault, 19th on bars, 19th on beam, sixth on floor and 18th in all-around; and Kelly Gruber (Jr. D) placed 12th on vault, 20th on bars, 22nd on beam, 22nd on floor and 21st in all-around.
Natalie Bialas (Sr. B) placed first on vault, sixth on bars, 10th on beam, 12th on floor and fifth in all-around; Shelby Lutz (Sr. B) placed 10th on vault, 17th on bars, second on beam, 13th on floor and 11th in all-around; and Megan McGinley (Sr. D) placed eighth on vault, fifth on bars, sixth on beam, fifth on floor and fifth in all-around.
The Level 7 team took 10th place out of 23 teams at the meet.
In Level 8, Riley Keene (Jr. B) placed 13th on vault, 18th on bars, 13th on beam, 15th on floor and 16th in all-around; Katelyn Trowbridge (Sr. A) placed first on vault, fourth on bars, third on beam, first on floor and first in all-around; Jayden Bruneau (Sr. A) placed second on vault, 12th on bars, 14th on beam, 13th on floor and 11th in all-around; Jillian Space (Sr. B) placed 15th on vault, 14th on bars, 18th on beam, ninth on floor and 13th in all-around; Ashlyn Vicko (Sr. C) placed fourth on vault, third on bars, third on beam, third on floor and third in all-around; and Tessa Sanders (Sr. C) placed 16th on vault, fifth on bars, 14th on beam, 15th on floor and 11th in all-around.
The Level 8 team took fifth place out of 15 teams at the meet.
In Level 9, Abbigail Mitchell (Jr. B) placed second on vault, 12th on bars, 10th on beam, ninth on floor and seventh in all-around; and Madelyn Manternach (Jr. B) placed sixth on vault, 18th on bars, 19th on beam, 17th on floor and 18th in all-around.
In Level 10, Kali Schierl (Sr.) finished 12th on vault, eighth on bars, 14th on beam, 14th on floor and 13th in all-around.
Level 8 and 9 gymnasts Abbigail Mitchell, Jillian Space, Katelyn Trowbridge and Ashlyn Vicko also qualified for the USAG Region 4 level 8-10 regional competition, held in April in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Level 7 gymnasts Natalie Bialas, Giana Bolton, Josie Dietrich, Shelby Lutz, Megan McGinley, and Arianna Ostrum qualified for the U.S.A. Gymnastics Region 4 level 6-7 regional competition, in April in Kenosha.
Xcel-level gymnasts qualifying for the state meet were Morgan Fillmore, Makenna Fisher, Abigail Hartleb, Olivia Heese, Haley Karr, Avianna Lansing, Mason Schuld, McKenzie Schuld and Kanosha Xiong.
In the Platinum level, Haley Karr (13) placed ninth on vault, 15th on bars, eighth on beam, 17th on floor and 14th in all-around; Morgan Fillmore (14) placed fourth on vault, 11th on bars, 13th on beam, second on floor and seventh in all-around; and Kanosha Xiong (14) placed seventh on vault, 17th on bars, 18th on beam, fifth on floor and 17th in all-around.
The Platinum team took 10th place out of 11 teams at the meet.
In the Gold level, Avianna Lansing (13a) placed 20th on vault, 21st on bars, 19th on beam, 21st on floor and 22nd in all-around; McKenzie Schuld (13b) placed 13th on vault, 11th on bars, 13th on beam, 14th on floor and 11th in all-around; Makenna Fisher (14a) placed 13th on vault, 12th on bars, fourth on beam, ninth on floor and ninth in all-around; and Olivia Heese (15 and up) placed 10th on vault, 10th on bars, third on beam, eighth on floor and fifth in all-around.
The Gold team took 19th place out of 25 teams at the meet.
In the Silver level, Abigail Hartleb (11c) placed 14th on vault, sixth on bars, eighth on beam, 13th on floor and 11th in all-around; and Mason Schuld (12a) placed first on vault, 11th on bars, sixth on beam, sixth on floor and third in all-around.
Morgan Fillmore, Olivia Heese, Makenna Fisher, McKenzie Schuld, Mason Schuld and Abigail Hartleb also qualified for the USAG Region 4 Xcel regional competition, held in April in Wisconsin Dells.
