Christonna Shafranski signs to play two sports at Upper Iowa

Pacelli Catholic High School senior Christonna Shafranski
signed a National Letter Intent to play two sports in college during an
assembly in the school’s auditorium Thursday, April 13.
Surrounded by family and coaches, Shafranski made her
official commitment to play softball and run cross country at NCAA Division II
Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, where she will join her older sister
Sami Kay on the softball team.
“It’s always been a dream to me,” said Shafranski. “You
watch people play when you’re younger, and you’re like, ‘I wish I could do
that, and I hope that one day I can be able to.’
“And to be able to run and play softball in college is
incredible,” she said. “I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to, and
I’m so excited to continue the things I love to do.”
