Cultural Festival Celebrating 25th Year

The Portage County Cultural Festival returns May 6 for its 25th anniversary.
The festival highlights the heritage and rich cultural diversity that central Wisconsin has to offer. New for this year, the event will feature a photo booth for guests to capture the memory of this historic anniversary, a timeline of events passed, a heritage map allowing guests to map their ancestral heritage, a Hmong museum and global treasures from around the world.
More than 10,000 are expected to celebrate over 50 ethnic groups represented.
This year’s event includes six performance stages; ethnic art demonstrations in various old world art forms; dozens of authentic international delicacies; interactive activities in the Children’s Area; foreign phrase in mini-language sessions; arts, crafts and cultural exhibits; and more.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 6 from 10 AM to 5 PM at Stevens Point Area Senior High, 1201 North Point Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
