Second-ranked Pacelli softball set to challenge in Division 4

After winning the Central Wisconsin Conference-8
(CWC-8) Title last year, the Pacelli Catholic High School softball team is
poised to contend with the top teams in Division 4 this season.

The Cardinals return seven starters from last year’s
team that was ranked third in Division 3 when they lost to sixth-ranked
Weyauwega-Fremont in the playoffs to finish 20-4.

Back in Division 4 this season, second-ranked Pacelli
won 13-0 at Amherst Monday, April 17, to improve to 3-1 this spring, and will
host Shiocton at Woyak Park in Plover at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20.

“The season’s going well,” said Pacelli softball head
coach Ann Molski. “We’ve really got some nice depth.

“They’re playing really hard and they’re working hard
and really listening to what we’re asking them to do, so it’s fun,” she said.
