The Wisconsin Dept. of Tourism has included one local restaurant on a “best of” list.

Father Fats, 945 Clark St., is one of six restaurants the state is recognizing for its small plates program.

“This restaurant offers the best of small plate dining, combining an ultimate hit list of ingredients straight from Wisconsin,” an article from TravelWisconsin.com reads in part. “With a range of portion sizes, diners can mix and match dishes and share with those around them.”

Chef Christian Czerwonka — known often as simply “Chef C” — regularly talks up his love of local ingredients via his Facebook page, and the restaurant also utilizes a custom craft cocktail program.

The restaurant opened in 2012.

Chef C, along with his wife Leah, also own local favorites Christian’s Bistro and El Jefe Tacos y Tequila.
