William “Bill” Zdroik, 70, Stevens Point, formerly of Custer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Monday morning, May 15, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Visitation was held Thursday, May 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. The service was officiated by Rev. Greg Michaud and burial was held in the parish cemetery.

Bill was born March 18, 1947, in Stevens Point, the son of Edwin and Regina (Kowalski) Zdroik, the third of eight children.

He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1965, where he enjoyed being on their wrestling team.

At the age of 19, he purchased his own farm and operated it ever since. Bill enjoyed deer hunting, traveling and visiting with friends. He designed and created innovative metal and wood custom equipment and buildings.

Bill is survived by his mother, Regina Zdroik, Stevens Point; four siblings, Louise (Peter) Loehnertz Uttech, Madison, David (Judith) Zdroik, Custer, Sheila (Dan) Hinic, Almond, and Lisa Zdroik, Stevens Point; sister-in-law, Linda Zdroik, Stevens Point; brother-in-law, Stanley (Claire) Lepak, Stevens Point; and his special friend, Grace Shurbert, Stevens Point.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin, in 1978; his fiancé, Judy Haroldson, in 1968; two sisters, Patricia Lepak in 1995 and Phyllis Gross in 1992; his brother Jerome Zdroik in 2006 and his brother-in-law Stephen Loehnertz in 2002.
