Dorothy Jajewski

Dorothy Mae Jajewski, 81, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, while vacationing with family in Carlsbad, Calif.
Dorothy was born Dec. 31, 1935, to Erven S. Redding and Helen M. Peabody in Stevens Point, where she attended St. Stephens Elementary and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
After graduating in 1954, Dorothy worked for the Wisconsin Telephone Company and married the love of her life, James John Jajewski, Nov. 22, 1958, at St. Stevens Catholic Church.
Devoting her life to family from 1958, Dorothy and Jim made their home in Stevens Point where they raised their six children until moving to Markesan in 1989. Dorothy and Jim eventually settled in Ripon in 2005.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Erven and Helen; a sister, June; and two brothers, Ervin and Richard.
Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Lucille and Mary; husband, James; children, David, Robert, John, James (Becky), Michael (Laura) and Susan (Patrick); and grandchildren, Jack, Ellie, Anna, Rachel, Bradley, Colleen, Daniel, Alex, Brett and Stryder.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by many. Her biggest attributes were her energy, compassion, ability to make people laugh and loyalty. It was the simple things around her which she never took for granted, commenting how fortunate and thankful she was.
Some of Dorothy’s interests included gardening, reading, bird watching and walking. Above all, Dorothy was absolutely devoted to her family. She was a mother who adored, supported and loved her family unconditionally. She was a woman of strong faith believing love and peace would await her after her passing.
