POTD: A New Pacelli Tradition?

City Times Staff
Pacelli graduates enjoy vanilla ice cream during the 2017 commencement ceremony on May 27.
The ice cream dishes, supplied by Culver’s of Stevens Point, were handed out by staff members as part of Megan Hinaus’ salutatorian speech, which compared life to the various parts of an ice cream sundae.
Emma Kulick was the class valedictorian; the keynote speaker was James Ness, a Class of ’59 graduate who went on to work for the Department of Justice.
“You need to hear ideas that will offend you, stomp on your toes,” Ness told the students. “This will help your growth.”
The Pacelli Class of 2017 is comprised of 47 students.
