Hall, a member of the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society, said the group checks more than 40 similar birdhouses across the county weekly.
“We look to see if they have a complete nest, and to make sure the birdhouse is in tact and everything,” Hall said.
The group follows strict rules laid out by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for monitoring and maintaining nests, she added.
