Stanley Wysocki, 80, Stevens Point, went to his eternal rest unexpectedly Friday, June 9, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Stanley was born July 26, 1936, in Stevens Point, the son of Eugene and Veronica (Kruzitski) Wysocki.

He attended local schools and entered the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., in August, 1956, and was assigned to the 126th Transportation Corp in Karlshrue, Germany.

He attained the rank of sergeant fourth-class and was honorably discharged at Fort Sheridan, Ill., in August, 1958.

Stan married Lottie Liss Oct. 3, 1959, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point and settled in Milwaukee.

He worked for American Motors until 1961 and returned to Stevens Point and owned and operated a milk route until 1963. He was employed by Consolidated Papers and then joined the Copps Corp in Stevens Point as supervisor and truck driver.

Stan retired from Copps at age 55 and together with his wife began their business, Green Meadow Turf. He was a member of the Wisconsin Turfgrass Association and served as president.

At age 62, he attended Empire Clock School in Mobile, Ala., and began repairing clocks as the Timekeeper.

Stan was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and served on the Parish Council, was Eucharistic minister, a minister to the homebound and a member of the Holy Name Society.

He was a Spiritual Services volunteer at St. Michael’s Hospital a member of the Schumann-Henk Chapter 30 of Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Stan and his wife traveled extensively in the U.S. and many countries abroad. He loved to garden, travel, repair clocks, polka dance, volunteer and especially treasured time with family and breakfast with friends.

Stan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lottie; five children, Dr. Kenneth (Randy Wilson) Wysocki, Phoenix, Ariz., Kim (Tom) Glodowski, Custer, Todd (Tina) Wysocki, Ringwood, Ill., Mark (Mary) Wysocki, Stevens Point, and James Wysocki, Stevens Point; nine grandchildren, Nick and Megan Wysocki, Elizabeth (Dr. Ryan) Bemke, David, Austin, Brittany, Megan, Krista and Brooklyn Glodowski; sisters, Margaret Megal, Helen Basinski, Arlene Smith; a brother, Donald (Rita) Wysocki; in-laws Donald and Germaine Liss, John and Shirley Liss, Elizabeth Wysocki and Myron Shulfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Edmund; infant brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Anthony; and a granddaughter, Ashley Glodowski.

Funeral Mass will be at noon Wednesday, June 14, at Holy Spirit Parish, 838 Fremont St., Stevens Point. Rev. Tom Lindner will officiate. Burial with full military honors will take place in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday morning at the Church.

Stan will always be remembered as hardworking, loving, thoughtful and compassionate. He will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts.
