Anna Marie Burch, 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June
13, 2017, in the presence of her family.

A Mass of Christian burial for Anna will be held at noon Friday,
June 16, at Holy Spirit Parish. Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate.

Friends and family will gather to share memories from 4 to 8
p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. A rosary led by the Holy
Spirit Rosary Society will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.

Visitation will also be held from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Friday at
the church prior to Mass. Burial will be in the St. Stephens Catholic Cemetery.

Anna was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Bear Creek, the daughter of
the late Alfred and Anna Roberts.

She attended St. Mary’s High School in Bear Creek and the
University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

She began teaching in a one room school house in Laona,
where she met her husband, Burnett E. Burch Jr.

The two were united in marriage June 19, 1954, at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Bear Creek.

Anna was an avid gardener, beekeeper, traveler, artist and
sports enthusiast. She was active in church, school and community
organizations. She was also a member of the Rosary Society at Holy Spirit
Parish.

Growing up with nine brothers and sisters, she was a natural
caregiver, and children were her greatest passion. Anna was a loving mother of
nine and cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

She worked as an elementary and Title I (Chapter I) teacher
in the school districts of Laona, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids.

She is survived by her brother, John (Joan); sisters, Joyce,
Gladys (Clyde) and Laura (Richard); her children, Patricia Marquard, Janis
Burch, Lois Burch (Frank) Anstett, Rosemary (Keith) Peterson, Christine (Samuel
Korger)Burch, Tonnette “Toni” (Michael) Bronk, Jeffrey (Patti) Roberts, Scott (Heidi
Schelke) Roberts, Carolyn (Russ Kort) Burch; her grandchildren, Crystal,
Matthew, Amanda, Allyssa, Keith, Andrew, Kyle, Eric, Joseph, Claire, Megan and Charlotte;
great-grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlyn, Christian and Forrest; and many
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Anna;
her husband, Burnett; her son, Joseph; her brothers, Francis, Fabian, Thomas,
Paul and James.
