School District Appoints New Board Member

The Stevens Point School Board has appointed a new member.
Michael Wade was selected to serve through the 2018 spring election. He replaces Plover resident Dewey Gantz, another appointee who filled a vacancy left by Sam Levin in December of 2016. Gantz resigned in May.
Wade is the CEO of Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative in Rosholt, and also serves on various other boards in the community. He preciously also served as a citizen member of the district’s Business Services Committee.
Melissa Barkley, David Clark, Lisa Pett and Kurt Pulverhmacher were also considered for the appointment.
Wade was sworn in on June 12.
