Car vs. Deer: A 46-year-old Plover man called police at 5:23 AM to report he’d hit a deer with his vehicle near the intersection of Cty. Rd. HH and Cty. Rd. J in Stevens Point.

Prescription Suspicion: An ER doctor called police at 8:22 AM to report suspected fraudulent seeking of prescription drugs by a 47-year-old Stevens Point woman.

Jewel Thief: A 20-year-old Custer woman was cited for retail theft after attempting to steal a ring valued at $11.99 and some candy bars worth $3.50 from the Stevens Point Shopko store at 8:33 AM.

Filched Phone: A 38-year-old Appleton woman called police at 3:30 PM to report her iPhone was stolen by a 24-year-old Stevens Point man on the 3200 block of John Joanis Drive. The phone was recovered and no citations were issued.

Scam: Police were called at 5:33 PM by a 73-year-old Stevens Point woman who reported being victim of a phone scam attempt.

CRASH: Police responded to a two-vehicle crash between a 23-year-old Stevens Point man and 43-year-old Junction City woman at the intersection of Post. Rd. and Mcdill Ave. in Stevens Point at 7:52 PM. No injuries were sustained.

Noisy Neighbors: A 53-year-old Plover woman contacted police at 8:38 PM to report an ongoing problem with noise which she said may be gunshots near the 5600 block of Cty. Rd. HH. Responding deputy reported no noise.
