Marlyn Lutz

Marlyn Lutz, born July 21, 1937, in Steven’s Point, was granted his angel wings June 16, 2017.
Marlyn is proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Jessie; and sons Kerry and Kris.
Marlyn served in the Army National Guard, as a tank mechanic and sharp shooter, a member of the Elks Lodge and Lions Club.
Marlyn followed in his family’s footsteps as an avid business owner; owning and managing several businesses in Steven’s Point, including the Portage County Oil Company, Portage County Tire Company and Portage County Transport Company.
Marlyn worked for his son, Kevin, at Green Valley Decorative Rock for the past 20 years; building many great relationships in the Green Valley community.
Above all else, Marlyn was a well-respected and gentle man that loved his family immeasurably. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met and will be missed greatly.
Marlyn is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Karen Lutz; sons Kory and Kevin; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army in honor of Marlyn Lutz.
