SPPD to Lift Parking Restrictions for Holiday Weekend
City Times Staff
Overnight parking restrictions have been suspended on public city streets through July 4.
Normally, according to Sgt. Tony Zblewski, vehicles are not permitted to park on the streets past 2 AM without a waiver from law enforcement dispatchers. Motorists who park overnight on city streets can typically “call in” their otherwise-legally parked vehicles no more than three times a month to avoid a ticket.
That requirement is lifted for the holiday weekend.
“But [cars] still need to adhere to posted parking restrictions,” Zblewski said.
