Jacob A. “Jake” Peglow, 15, Waupaca, who has relatives in Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

He was born in Waupaca Sept. 20, 2001, the son of James and Jennifer (Petersen) Peglow, Waupaca. He just finished his freshman year at Waupaca High School. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Whether it was hours of tubing, four-wheeling or just hanging out with his friends, he enjoyed having fun. He was a leader in the many organizations including FFA, Destination Imagination, 4H and Trinity Lutheran Youth Group. He was an avid outdoors man and animal lover. He was known to reel in the big one while everyone looked on in envy.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Jenny Peglow, Waupaca; a brother, Josh Peglow, Waupaca; grandparents, Sharon and Tom Petersen, Minocqua, and Chuck and Carol Peglow, Woodruff; aunts and uncles, Katie (Arjen) Blanker, Stevens Point, Jessica (Michael) Massucci, Schereville, Ind., Emily (Robert) Cunningham, Mokena, Ill., and Chip (Anne) Peglow, Victoria, Minn.; and cousins, Sam and Andrew Blanker, Jack and Emilia Massucci, Kate Cunningham, and Zack and Kathleen Peglow; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 31, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca with Reverend Bryan Robertson and Reverend Dione Miller officiating. Private family burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery, town of Dayton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church and again at 10 a.m. until time of services Monday.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jake’s name at Premier Community Bank in Waupaca. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
