With grilled corn, masterful music and family fun, the annual Corn on the Curb festival returns next month to take over downtown.
The 15th annual Corn on the Curb event begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, in downtown Stevens Point. There is no cost to attend; food vendors will have burgers, brats and beverages available for purchase.
The event typically draws upwards of 6,000 people. No carry-ins will be allowed.
The event will feature live music, children’s activities, a karaoke contest, a corn eating contest and, of course, heaps of corn.
“The event is always family fun for everyone,” said Troy Hojnacki, organizer of the event. “A lot of families come out for the inflatables, and the fire-roasted corn is grilled to order.”
