Elaine E. Krause, 91, Almond, died Friday, July 28, 2017.

Mrs. Krause was born Jan. 25, 1926, the daughter of Louis and Ruth (Schulz) Rusch.

She was married to Martin Krause Oct. 27, 1945. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Krause is survived by two children, Nila (Patrick) Peskie, Amherst, and Roy (Pamela) Krause, Almond; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one son-in-law, Allan; one brother-in-law, Elmer; and one sister-in-law, Marian (Earl) Breir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Krause; her parents, Louis and Ruth Rusch; one daughter, Vera Erdman; one grandson, Nicholas Peskie; two sisters, Lois Naylor and Ruth Ann Miller; and one brother, James Rusch.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Amherst. Pastor Don Johnson will officiate with burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
