Krueger named UWSP men’s hockey interim coach for this season

Stevens Point native Tyler Krueger will serve as the interim head coach for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) men’s hockey team for the 2017-18 season, UWSP director of athletics Brad Duckworth announced Thursday, July 20.
A former standout for the Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) boys hockey and UWSP men’s hockey teams, Krueger was an assistant coach for the Pointers the last three seasons.
Krueger took over on an interim basis while UWSP looked to conduct a national search after head coach Chris Brooks left to become an assistant coach at NCAA Division 1 Michigan Tech University June 26, while a full national search will now begin following the conclusion of the upcoming season.
