Tater Toot to feature new bands

By Heather McDonald
The 54th annual Almond Tater Toot will take place this weekend featuring new bands and a change in location for the classic car show.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, July 28, with food stands opening and music to follow, then continues with most activities beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29.
The event is free and open to the public.
Events for the weekend include the annual Classic Car Show – now in its 20th year – which will move back to its original location on Elm Street and usually is a big draw, said Kip Gutke, Almond Lions Club secretary.
“Each year, our car show becomes larger with more participation from car enthusiasts,” he said. “We do not have a yearly make or model theme, but we welcome any car and truck that an individual would like to show off. Cars and trucks, antique to classic, and from stock to modified – all are welcome.”
