July 28
Harassment: A 75-year-old Stevens Point man called police at 8:37 AM to report receiving harassing text messages from his grandchildren’s father.
Minor Disturbance: Police were called to the 500 block of Fourth Ave. at 12:42 PM in response to a disturbance caused by an 11-year-old boy.
Tobacco Spat: Police responded to the Tobacco Outlet on the 2800 block of Church St. at 8:45 PM in response to a reported verbal disturbance. Suspects are a 26-year-old Stevens Point man and 29-year-old woman.
Piracy: A 26-year-old Stevens Point man called police at 5:59 PM to report a kayak, paddle and anchor was stolen from his home on the 1400 block of West River Dr. at 5:59 PM.
Quiet Down: Three 20-year-olds were warned by police at 11:26 PM after a noise complaint was reported from Bukolt Park.
July 29
Crash: A 21-year-old Birnamwood woman was cited for operating a vehicle without insurance after crashing her vehicle on the 3900 block of Cty. Rd. K in Custer at 6:58 AM.
Doggy Danger: Police were called at 12:32 PM from the Stevens Point Copps Market with reports that a dog had been left in a car for 20 minutes and was barking. The owner was paged by the store and left with the dog.
No License to Drive: After being stopped by police for driving with an expired registration, a 35-year-old Rhinelander man was cited for operating without a license on Hwy. 10 and Brilowski Rd. in Stevens Point.
Rude Neighbor: A 23-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 6:45 PM to complain about her 31-year-old male neighbor’s loud music on the 400 block of Clayton Ave. She said her newborn was unable to sleep and when she spoke to her neighbor, he swore at her. Police warned the neighbor about the noise.
July 30
Urination Citation: A 41-year-old man was cited for public urination after being caught by police at 12:40 AM on Main St. and Second St.
Hit-And-Run: Police were called at 2:19 AM by a 21-year-old Stevens Point woman who reported her vehicle was hit by an unknown suspect on the 900 block of Maria Dr.
Bail Jumper: A 25-year-old Brooks, Wis. man was arrested for felony bail jumping at 2:19 AM on the 1000 block of Main St. after police discovered he was intoxicated.
No Pants Pass Out: Deputies were called at 3:13 AM to check on a 24-year-old Amherst man who was found passed out with his pants at his ankles on the 3900 block of 2nd St. in Amherst Junction. The pantless man was assisted home by a friend.
Sibling Rivalry: Police were called to the 1300 block of Second St. at 4:22 AM in response to reports of two sisters fighting.
Window Pain: A 42-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 9:30 AM to report a 15-year-old suspect had thrown a block of wood through her son’s bedroom window on the 2900 block of Prais St.
Facebook Fraud: A 57-year-old Stevens Point man called police at 1:07 PM to report a fraud attempt via Facebook Chat.
