July 29

Veal Victim: Police responded to the 12000 block of Town Line Rd. in Bancroft at 7:33 PM after a 59-year-old man reported his week-old 50 lb. calf was stolen by a 40-year-old man.

July 30

Deputies were dispatched to the 9000 block of Main St. in Amherst Junction at 4:14 AM where a 26-year-old male had reportedly swore at a bartender and brandished a knife before fleeing into the post office. The man was soon located and taken home.

July 31

Ding-Dong-Ditch: A 52-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 1:01 AM to report three teenage boys who were playing ding-dong-ditch on the 3600 block of Lorraine St.

Late Night Recreation: Police report that a 30-year-old Junction City man and 22-year-old Stevens Point woman were in Bukolt Park after hours at 1:57 AM. The two said they’d move along.

OWI: After crashing her vehicle into a light pole near the Hilltop Pub at 2:15 AM, a 22-year-old Stevens Point woman called police to report the accident and was subsequently cited for OWI and failure to keep her vehicle under control.

Little Lost: Police were called at 3:53 AM by a 38-year-old woman who reported a 4-year-old child was missing on the 3300 block of Campsite Dr. in Stevens Point. The child was found in a cabin soon after.

Crash: A 39-year-old Stevens Point woman was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal and operating without insurance after crashing her vehicle at the junction of I39 and Cty. Rd. HH at 7:13 AM.

Battery: Police arrested a 20-year-old Stevens Point man at 10:28 AM from the 1300 block of North Point Dr. after the man allegedly threw a jar at his girlfriend’s face. Police report he was upset that she was speaking with other people. The man faces charges of battery, disorderly conduct and bail jumping. Two bongs were also seized during the arrest.

No License to Drive: A Waupaca woman was pulled over and cited for her second offense of operating without a license and without insurance on Patch St. and Welsby Ave. in Stevens Point at 11:26 PM.
