Phyllis A. Van Dien

Phyllis A. Van Dien, 84, formerly of Stevens Point, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, Ill.
She was born April 25, 1933, in Madison, the daughter of Irvin and Harriett (Wright) Robinson. She graduated from Madison Central High School.
She was married to Lynn A. Van Dien on Aug. 13, 1951, in Madison. They moved to Stevens Point in 1952, where they raised their family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, including rosemaling, sewing, needlepoint, building doll houses, baking and cooking.
Mrs. Van Dien is survived by two children, Robin Minnis, Oregon, Ill., and Jeff (Karen) Van Dien, Valrico, Fla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Jill Van Dien; one brother; three sisters; and one son-in-law, Neil Minnis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Pastor Clay Schmit will officiate, and burial will follow at Forest Cemetery.
A memorial fund is established for the Serenity Hospice and Home.
