Francis A. Osili

Francis Ananwude Osili, 64, Plover, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, of complications from pneumonia after battling T-cell lymphoma.
He was born in Nsugbe, Anambra State, Nigeria, Dec. 8, 1952, the fourth of seven children. As a boy, he studied at Abbot school for boys. As a young man, he fought in the Biafran War.
In 1975, he immigrated to Stevens Point on a scholarship to study fisheries, however he graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in business administration and economics.
Mr. Osili worked for Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point for 30-plus years. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Packers, Badgers and Bucks.
He is survived by three children, Jen (Taniesha), Dan (Angie) and Jordan (Katie) Greuel; seven (and one on the way) grandchildren, Lincoln, Caroline and Jacqueline Osili; Sidney Osili; and Brooklyn, Quinn, Aubryn (and one on the way) Greuel.

Services will be at 6 pm. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Boston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
