Mrs. McNamara was a staff nurse at the Portage County Health Care Center before becoming the director of nursing. After seven years, she became the infirmary director for the Sisters of St. Joseph and retired after 13 years.

In her later years, she enjoyed going to the area casinos, doing crossword puzzles, reading a variety of newspapers, going out to dinner for special occasions, attending her various school reunions as well as extended family get-togethers. She also enjoyed the home and telephone visits with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Michael (Etsuko), San Antonio, Texas and Daniel (Debby), Franklin; one daughter, Elizabeth (Steven) Pecha, Franklin; one daughter-in-law, Erin, Green Bay; one son-in-law, Kent Zelhofer, Plover; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Colleen, Caitlin, Ashley, Wayne, Kate, Kathryn and Nora; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe and Ed (Renie); one sister, Margaret; one sister-in-law, Kay; several brothers-in-law  and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Joseph, Stephen and Kevin; and three daughters, Susan, Kathleen and Mary.
