Barbara A. Prondzinski, age 70, of Stevens Point, passed away Thursday afternoon August 10, 2017 at Whispering Pines in Plover.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point on Monday August 14, from 3:00-6:00 pm. A Rosary will be prayed for Barbara at 6:00 pm. Monday night after the visitation at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in her name at a later date.

Barbara was born April 24, 1947 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Chester and Martha (Kresh) Shulfer. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. Barbara married Thomas Prondzinski in 1967 in Stevens Point, the couple later divorced. Barbara worked at Walmart for 21 years as a photo lab technician retiring in 2014. She enjoyed camping, bowling, gardening, and was an avid collector of angels. The love of her life was her time spent with family and friends, especially all of her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her daughters; Lisa (Bart) Woyak and Julie (Travis) Hojnacki, both of Plover. Her mother: Martha Shulfer, Stevens Point. Her brother Robert (Linda) Schulfer, Richfield and her two sisters: Dee Firkus and Pat Deppe of Stevens Point. Four granddaughters: Lindsey and Lauren Woyak and Hannah and Hailey Hojnacki. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Chester Shulfer, Brother, Thomas Shulfer and sister, Kathleen Zurawski. She is also preceded in death by her special friend, Patrick Pezewski.

Barbara’s family wishes to thank the staffs of House of the Dove, Whispering Pines, and Ministry Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Barbara and her family.
