George E. Alpaugh Jr., 72, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017.

He was born July 1, 1945 in Newburgh, N.Y.

Mr. Alpaugh is survived by his ex-wife, Joyce De George, Amherst Junction; one son, George E. Alpaugh III, Winnebago; one daughter, Eleanor (John) Powell, Plover; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman (Peggy) Alpaugh, Kingston, N.Y., and Lee (Sharon) Alpaugh, Newburgh, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. Alpaugh Sr. and Alice VanAmburgh; one sister, Lena Ayers; one nephew, Norman Charles Alpaugh Jr.; and one stepbrother, Vincent Puterbaugh.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
