Aquatic Classes Offered for Adults This Fall

Adults with arthritis and older adults looking for a low-impact workout are offered aquatic classes this summer through the Special Needs Aquatic Program (SNAP) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Classes are offered on Mondays and Thursdays, with 15-class sessions held Sept. 7-Oct. 26 and Oct. 30-Dec. 21. Each class is 45 minutes and the series costs $45.
The Basic Aquatic Exercise class will be held at 8:45 AM. The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program will be offered at 10 and 11:15 AM and 4:30 PM.
An add-on 10 AM Wednesday arthritis exercise class is offered for an additional $21. Each class is limited to 15 participants.
The classes are held in the therapeutic pool, adjacent to the Quandt Fieldhouse in the UW-Stevens Point Health Enhancement Center, 2050 Fourth Avenue.
