A con artist finds the stupidest …

To the Editor:
There has been much fanfare about Wisconsin getting a huge manufacturing facility. It has been applauded by Governor Walker, most all legislative Republicans, and President Trump.
Why would Foxconn want to build a large $10 billion plant in Wisconsin?
Is it because it loves our climate?
Maybe it’s our taxes, although they are kind of high.
Maybe it likes our philosophy? Which used to be, do what is good and best for our people.
Now, our philosophy seems to be don’t think too hard, do what business wants, and make it fast. Then you will get great marketing.
Things have changed. A smart business will say it wants to build a big something and then the fun begins. Many states will make proposals. One says, “If we get the business, we will get lots of jobs. So, let’s give them some tax credits.” The next state will say, “Oh yeah, we will do that and give…..” And the race goes down that hole until you get to the bottom. The dumbest.
Wisconsin rejoice! We won!
