Point Ranks in Top 10 Small College Towns

Stevens Point has received top rankings as one of the best small college towns in the U.S.
According to rankings determined by Schools.com, Stevens Point is ranked as the ninth best small college town in the U.S. Ithaca, NY, took the top spot.
“Stevens Point is a small city in Wisconsin that provides students with plenty to do when they aren’t studying. The city’s downtown hosts an impressive number of shops, restaurants and art galleries,” said Schools.com.
The rankings were determined according to data taken from 170 college cities with populations under 150,000. Criteria including entertainment options, young adult populations, median annual rent and walkability. The ranking also mentioned the city’s Fall Festival, Wine Walk and holiday parade.
Stevens Point’s proximity to large cities like Madison, Minneapolis and Chicago were also considered.
According to their website, “Schools.com uses trusted sources — like the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics and reports from accredited schools themselves — to power resources you can use to plan your college and career trajectory.”
