August 18

Out-of-Towner: A 19-year-old Eau Claire man was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping, operating with a revoked license and without insurance after being stopped by police at 12:34 AM in Lower Whiting Park.

OWI: Police cited a 22-year-old Pulaski man with OWI and speeding after pulling him over on Division St. and Maria Dr. at 1:52 AM.

Mailbox Fatality: A 75-year-old Junction City woman reported her mailbox was destroyed on the 3100 block of Long Rd.

Pay Attention: Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Brilowski Rd. in Stevens Point where they cited a 70-year-old Winnetka, Ill. woman with inattentive driving.

Special Delivery: A 44-year-old Almond woman called police at 5:42 PM to report finding condoms in her mailbox on on the 7200 block of Pine Tree Dr.

Underager: A 15-year-old Custer boy was cited for underage drinking on the 1100 block of Minnesota Ave. at 7:41 PM.

Cocaine Poss: A 33-year-old Stevens Point woman and 28-year-old man were arrested for cocaine possession after police pulled them over on Rice St. and Lindbergh Ave. at 8:43 AM.

Fight Night: Police arrested a 50-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man for violating his probation after responding to a fight at the Congress Club bar at 11:02 PM.

Curses: Police were called at 11:19 PM by a 33-year-old Stevens Point man who reported an unidentified suspect was yelling obscenities from his car on the 5300 block of Golla Rd.

August 19

Strangulation: Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on the 3900 block of Oakwood Ln. at 1:21 AM where they arrested a 32-year-old Stevens Point man for battery, strangulation and suffocation and false imprisonment.

OWI: A 23-year-old Stevens Point woman was cited for OWI and speeding on Division and Ellis St. at 2:42 AM.

Busted: Police arrested a 23-year-old Stevens Point man on two counts of criminal damage to property and four counts of theft after the suspect was caught breaking into a vehicle and garage on the 600 block of Portage St. at 3:59 AM.

Crash: A 50-year-old Stevens Point man was cited for failure to yield the right of way after crashing his vehicle on Stanley St. and Wilshire Blvd. N at 8:59 AM.

Crash: A 71-year-old New Berlin man was cited with failing to follow his indicated turn after crashing with a 65-year-old Stevens Point man on the Hwy. 10 and Old Hwy. 18 at 12:09 PM.

Underage: An 18-year-old Stevens Point man was cited for underage drinking at 10:51 AM on the 7400 block of Cty. Rd. Z in Custer.

Animal Retrieval: Police assisted the Humane Society with taking possession of three cats and a guinea pig from the home of a 31-year-old Stevens Point woman on the 1000 block of Shaurette St.

August 20

Theft: A 34-year-old Elkhorn man called police at 1:05 AM to report an unknown suspect had stolen a $100 bill from him while at a bar on the 1300 block of Second St.

Bail Jumper: Police arrested a 29-year-old Stevens Point man for felony bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer on Main and Second St. at 12:39 AM.

Purse Pinched: A 54-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 10:26 AM to report an unknown suspect had stolen her purse on the 600 block of Washington Ave.

Probation Violation: A 35-year-old Rosholt man was arrested for bail jumping and operating with a revoked license after police stopped his vehicle on Patch St. and Indiana Ave. at 6:28 PM.

iGone: Police were called at 7:23 PM by a 38-year-old Stevens Point man who reported his iPhone 6S+ was stolen from his vehicle while in Iverson Park.

Suspicious Nap: At 9:18 PM, a 47-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for felony bail jumping, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after reportedly being slumped over in his car for hours on the 2500 block of Country Club Dr.

Underager: A 20-year-old Stevens Point man was cited for underage drinking at 10:38 PM on the 5400 block of Hwy. 10 E.

No License to Drive: Police pulled over a 28-year-old Stevens Point man at 11:48 PM on the 400 block of Michigan Ave. and cited him with displaying false license plates and his third count of operating without a license.

Fifth OWI: A 43-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for his fifth offense of OWI and operating with a revoked license on the 1300 block of Michigan Ave. at 11:48 PM.
