Suspicious Stops: Police investigated a 23-year-old Custer man due to suspicious activity on Jefferson St. and Wyatt Ave. in Stevens Point at 1:21 AM. The man’s vehicle had reportedly been parked at multiple locations throughout the evening. No criminal activity was reported.
Bicycle Bust: Police pulled over a 22-year-old Stevens Point man on Division St. and Fourth Ave. at 1:40 AM and arrested him for resisting or obstructing an officer and riding a bike without lights or reflectors.
Paper Problem: Deputies patrolled the 6800 block of Hwy. 66 in Custer after a 43-year-old woman reported newspapers tossed around her parking lot at 9:33 AM.
Crash: Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash between an 89-year-old and 16-year-old Stevens Point woman on Main and Church St. at 10:12 AM. No citations were issued to either driver.
Be Nice: Police were called by a 55-year-old Amherst Junction man who reported receiving verbal threats from a 32-year-old Marathon City man on the 3300 block of Business Park Dr. at 11:40 AM.
Fraud: A 58-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 12:04 PM to report an unknown suspect had used her credit card to make online purchases.
Threats: A 20-year-old Stevens Point woman reported receiving threatening messages from another 20-year-old woman at 9:50 PM.
Movie Mayhem: Two 17-year-old Plover women called police at 12:45 AM to report their vehicle had been broken into while parked at the Rogers Cinema on Church St. No items were reported missing.
