UWSP DeBot dining center renovations approved
One of the main student-dining hubs at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) will undergo a $16.8 million renovation next fall.
The DeBot Dining Center Renovation project was recently approved by state officials and the UW System Board of Regents to address building infrastructure, safety and programming issues. It will be funded through program revenue that comes mainly from student meal plans.
The work will begin in summer of 2018.
The renovation will include a new heating and air conditioning system and air handling equipment, fire sprinkler system, freight and passenger elevators, emergency generator, reconfigured entrances and updated staff locker rooms.
