August 25

Revvin’ Good Time: A 29-year-old man called deputies at 5:33 PM to complaint a neighbor was revving their engines excessively at Elm and Willard streets.

Dog Barking: Police were called to a home on the 1700 block of Elk St. at 12:32 AM after a caller reported a dog barking “over noises coming from within the home.” The owner brought the dog inside for the night.

Bad Boy: Deputies responded to a home on the 2800 block of County Tk. M at 7:08 PM after a caller there reported he suspected of 20-year-old son was stealing his money.

Time to Move On: Campground management from the 9400 block of Hwy. 54 in Amherst called police to say they were evicting a 45-year-old woman from the grounds at 9:22 PM. The woman agreed to leave.

Kool-Aid Assault: A 19-year-old man called police at 3:15 PM to report that unknown four black males threw an open bottle of ice tea into his open car window, then threw a bottle of Kool-aid at his head, hitting him in the face.

Failure to Yield: Police cited a 20-year-old man for failure to yield after causing a two-vehicle crash near Hwy. 10 and Maple Bluff Rd. at 3:14 PM. No injuries were reported.

Hobos Interuptus: Five men, ages 20, 29, 42, 52, and 61, were accused to drinking liquor from a container inside a plastic bag on the 1000 block of Main St. at 4:45 PM. One man, the 61-year-old, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Tire Slasher: A 28-year-old man called police at 12 AM to report two tires on his SUV had been slashed while parked on the 1000 block of Amber Ave.

August 26

Paint Ball Creep: Police were called to a home on the 300 block of Wood Ln. at 2:51 AM after a caller reported their home had been paint-balled by an unknown person.

iCalled on Accident: A 32-year-old woman accidentally dialed 911 via her new iWatch at 8:04 AM. No action against the woman was taken.

Burglary: Police were called to a home at 10 AM on the 500 block of W. Clark St. after a caller there reported someone had unlawfully entered the home and removed several items. No further information was immediately available.

The Great Train Track Runner: Police arrested a 45-year-old man on his fourth OWI charge at 8:20 PM. According to the police report, the man stopped his car in the middle of the railroad tracks at Park and Prairie streets, then took off on foot.

Car Break-In: A 53-year-old man called deputies to report someone had broken into his vehicle while it was parked at his Five Corner Rd. home at 10:26. Stolen items were not immediately reported.

Just the Mailman: A 23-year-old man called deputies to report a suspected trespasser on his Jordan Rd. property at 12:26 PM. The suspect turned out to be a postal carrier.

Outdoor Peeper: A 39-year-old man called deputies to report an unknown male was peeking through the bushes at his campsite at 2:49 PM on County Tk. Y.

Firewood Thief: Deputies responded to the 3400 block of East Maria Dr. after a 78-year-old man reported someone was stealing his firewood at 2:32 PM.

You’re Outta Here: Deputies were called to a campground on the 1900 block of County Tk. Y at 5:51 PM to assist in evicting two men, aged 21 and 62, from a campsite there.

August 27

Just Being A Dad: Someone called police on a 33-year-old man because he was slamming car doors and yelling as his children on the 2100 block of Strongs Ave. at 1:44 PM.

Should’ve Kept Your Mouth Shut: A 42-year-old man was arrested for obstruction when he became disorderly while an officer investigating a noise complaint on the 2500 block of Fifth Ave. at 7:25 PM.

Theft From Vehicle: Police responded to the 800 block of Bukolt Ave. after a 22-year-old man reported someone was stealing from his vehicle at 1:10 AM.
