Gregory “Janitor Greg” Klish, 63, of Stevens Point, died Tuesday Aug. 29, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Greg was born on July 15, 1954, in New Brunswick New Jersey. He was the son of the late Edwin and Laura (Giera) Klish.

He attended local schools. After High school Greg enlisted in the United States Navy where he served in Okinawa, Japan. He was very proud to be a Seabee in the Navy. He was honorably discharged.

His marriage to Dawn Zurawski took place on June 27, 1987, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point, after the marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. Gregory worked for over 26 years for the Stevens Point School District, retiring in 2014. He enjoyed playing the Harmonica, nature, loved children. He lived life to the fullest and had many friends of all ages and walks of life.

His is survived by his wife; Dawn Klish of Stevens Point; daughter; Kayla Klish of Wisconsin Rapids; son Kevin Klish of Stevens Point; brothers Alfred Donato of Sebring Fl., James (Judy) Donato of Stevens Point and Steven (Roxann) Klish of Green Bay; sister Karen Klish of Sebring Fl.; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point, with Deacon Art Schaller officiating. Visitation will take place Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Military Honors will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Greg’s name will be established at a later date.
