Jace M. Yesse achieved Boy Scouting’s highest rank of Eagle Scout on August 13.

His Court of Honor was held on August 27, 2017.

Yesse, 18, is a member of Boy Scout Troop 293 sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church of Stevens Point.

Jace began his scouting career as a Cub Scout with Pack 293 and continued through Webelos Scouting to achieve the highest award, the Arrow of Light.

As a member of Troop 293, Jace has held numerous leadership positions including quartermaster, junior assistant scoutmaster, patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, senior patrol leader, and chaplain’s aid.

He was inducted into the Tom Kita Chara Lodge of the Order of the Arrow in 2013 and earned Brotherhood Membership in 2014. Jace also attended National Youth Leadership Training at Camp Tsomas. In 2015 he volunteered as a counselor-in-training at the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation, and then worked as a counselor the summers of 2016 and 2017 at Akela’s World in Rhinelander. Jace has earned 31 badges, along with the Mile Swim and The World Conservation Award.

For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Yesse organized a group of scouts to make raised gardens for the Boston School Forest. The raised gardens will be utilized by the local grade schools.

Yesse recently enlisted in the United States Navy and will be entering the Nuclear Engineering program.

Jace graduated from Wausau Engineering and Global Leadership High School in 2017. He is the son of Rick and Brenda Yesse of Stevens Point.
