What will happen to Bancroft building? School will be empty for first time since 1962

Almond-Bancroft School District leaders are opening the doors to offers to purchase the Bancroft School building, but they are not closing down ideas for how the building can be used.
“We can’t financially maintain the building for the foreseeable future,” District Administrator Rich Hanson said. “We had a couple of individuals say they were interested in purchasing it, and we are trying to say, ‘is there anybody else?’
“We want this to continue to be a viable piece of the community, and we want to find out if there are others out there willing to do that, that’s why we have to take this step,” he told the Gazette.
