The ninth-ranked Pacelli Catholic High School football team (3-0, 1-0) will be at home to take on Wittenberg-Birnamwood (2-1, 0-1), and second-ranked Amherst (2-1, 1-0) will host Weyauwega-Fremont (0-3, 0-1), to highlight Week 4 of the high school football season.

Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) (1-2, 0-1) will be on the road for a Valley Football Association (VFA) crossover game at Appleton North (2-1) at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, Almond-Bancroft (1-2, 0-1) will play at Pardeeville (3-0) at 7 p.m. Friday, and Rosholt (0-3, 0-1) will travel to Tigerton to face Tigerton/Marion (1-3, 1-0) at 7 p.m. Friday.

Pacelli

Coming off its third consecutive win to start the season, Pacelli moved into the WisSpoprts.net Coaches Poll this week as the ninth-ranked team in Division 6, and will host Wittenberg-Birnamwood at Community Stadium at Goerke Field at 7 p.m. Friday.

“It’s an amazing start so far for the season,” said Pacelli football head coach Drew Nelson. “The kids are playing well, they’re giving it their all every day, and like I told them after the game on Friday, ‘enjoy the moment, embrace it, but then Monday, get back to work here and get focused for Wittenberg.’

“The kids are excited, the school’s excited, we haven’t been 3-0 since 2010, so let the kids have some fun, let them enjoy it, and we got back to work (Monday) for Wittenberg,” he said.
