SPASH Tennis Defeats Rapids

The SPASH girls tennis team improved its record to 9-2 overall, 2-0 in Wisconsin Valley Conference play with a 6-1 win over Wisconsin Rapids Tuesday afternoon.

Sabrina Tang upped her season record to 14-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Alex Zueger. The junior Panther was coming off three big wins over the weekend at the Brookfield Invitational including a 6-2, 6-3 win over former state meet doubles champion and third place finisher Kiki Risgaard out of Neenah High School.

SPASH travels to Merrill Thursday for a WVC matchup with the Blue Jays, then return home Tuesday, Sept. 19 to take on D.C. Everest at the SPASH courts. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 4 PM.
