No Injuries in Friday Morning Car Fire

Officials from the Plover Fire Dept. say a possible oil leak is suspected of igniting a car in the parking lot of a Crossroads Common restaurant on Friday.
Firefighters responded with a single engine to the McDonald’s, 1205 Commons Circle, shortly after 10 AM when a 911 call reporting a car on fire in the parking lot.
Deputy Fire Chief Ken Voss said he and his crew were on the scene within minutes and extinguished the fire almost immediately.
“[The driver] said he had an oil leak in the car,” Voss said. “He was inside, then he saw the car was smoking.”
Adams Towing also responded to the scene. Voss said there were no injuries.
