September 15
Crash: A 56-year-old Stevens Point man crashed his vehicle on the 1200 block of North Point Dr. at 7:23 AM.
Kwik Caper: Police responded to the Maria Dr. Kwik Trip store in response to reports of theft by a 15-year-old Stevens Point boy at 11:34 AM. No charges or stolen items were reported.
Credit Concerns: Police were called at 1:18 PM by an 86-year-old Stevens Point woman who was concerned about the Equifax data breach.
Disorderly Disturbance: A 24-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for disorderly conduct and second-degree recklessly endangering safety after police responded to a disturbance on the 600 block of Second St. N.
Crash: Police cited a 32-year-old Stevens Point woman with making an improper left turn after crashing with a 22-year-old Stevens Point man on Indiana Ave. and Prais St. at 3:17 PM.
Go Away: A 34-year-old Stevens Point woman was arrested for violating a no contact order after refusing to leave the premises of a home on the 5200 block of Harding Ave. in Plover at 7:35 PM.
Ouch: A 68-year-old Stevens Point reported being bitten by a dog at the intersection of Bush St. and Michigan Ave. at 8:02 PM.
OWI: Police pulled over and arrested a 19-year-old Plover woman on Main and Division St. in Stevens Point at 10 PM. Charges include OWI, possession of drug paraphernalia, use or possession of marijuana and operating without headlights.
Underager: An 18-year-old Abrams man was charged with underage drinking at 10:20 PM on Division St. and College Ave.
September 16
Flower Flirts: Two Stevens Point men, 21 and 22 years old, were stopped by police after attempting to steal a plant from the downtown Shopko store at 12:40 AM. The suspects said they were trying to meet girls by giving them flowers.
Disturbance: Police responded to the 2200 block of Main St. at 4:30 AM in response to a physical disturbance between a 30-year-old Stevens Point man and 26-year-old woman.
Vehicle Vandal: A 38-year-old Stevens Point man reported an unknown suspect vandalized his vehicle on the 400 block of Sunrise Ave. at 7:48 AM.
Domestic Disturbance: A 56-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with two counts each of domestic abuse and disorderly conduct after police responded to a disturbance on the 3200 block of Welsby Ave. at 9:15 PM.
September 17
Crash: Deputies were called to the junction of Hwy. 54 and I39 in Plover at 1:50 AM where a 40-year-old Hancock man crashed with a 70-year-old driver.
Resisting Arrest: Police responded to the 1200 block of Torun Rd. at 3:08 AM after receiving reports of an unknown man in a 39-year-old Stevens Point woman’s back yard. The suspect, a 21-year-old Mosinee man, was arrested for felony bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Mailbox Fatalities: Police received reports that mailboxes had been vandalized at 8:16 AM on the 1700 and 1800 block of North Second Dr. and the 2000 block of Cty. Rd. C.
Crash: A 16-year-old Stevens Point woman was cited for operating without insurance after crashing with a 27-year-old Wisconsin Rapids driver on Main St. and Wilshire Blvd. at 6:08 PM.
Lost Wallet: A 23-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man called police at 10:05 PM to report that he’d left his wallet on the bar at Graffiti’s in downtown Stevens Point and when he returned, his wallet was gone.
