Local Businesses Partner for Hurricane Donations

City Times Staff
Multiple local businesses have partnered to raise money and supplies for hurricane victim relief.
After the destruction of communities in Texas and Florida due to hurricanes Harvey and Irma, supplies are still in short supply for those who lost their homes, food and health. Local real estate group Coldwell Banker is hosting a donation drive on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Coldwell has partnered with Antique UP and Joe Fischer, owner of Fischer’s Attic Treasures in Plover, who is donating his 30-foot trailer, time and expenses to transport the donated supplies to affected areas of Texas and Florida.
Cash donations to Fischer will go toward his travel expenses and any remaining monies will be split between the JJ Watt Foundation which has so-far raised $37 million for hurricane relief, and the Cajun Navy, a volunteer group of private boat owners who assist in search and rescue efforts following flood disasters.
Donations can be made at the Coldwell office or online at www.coldwellhomes.com/hurricanerelief.
For more information on donations, contact Joe Fischer at 715-972-3474 or [email protected].
The Stevens Point Coldwell Banker office is located at 5725 Windy Dr., Suite E.
