Photo of the Day: Once Again Up for Rent

City Times Staff
After less than a year in business, Rockies Bar has closed.
The bar was the site of shooting during a wedding party in early July. No one was injured but police say they haven’t had much cooperation from the witnesses present that night.
A suspect who witnesses would only describe as an “Asian male” fired at least five gunshots into the ceiling from a .40 handgun, according to Stevens Point Assistant Police Chief Tom Zenner. No injuries were reported.
The majority of the information police have, Zenner said, comes from a surveillance camera located inside the bar, and some city-owned cameras on the street outside.
Rockies, 929 Main St., first opened in December of 2016 and is the former home of Heritage Pub, which closed in summer of 2015.
