The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Pfiffner Pioneer Park, 1100 Crosby Ave., Stevens Point.
“The 5Ks have gone over well in the past, and we wanted to make it a family-friendly event while bringing awareness to wellness with our school and into the community,” said Lea Kiggins, member of St. Paul Lutheran’s wellness committee and parent teacher league.
“We thought a color run in the fall would be fun with the leaves changing,” she said.
The 5K will start at the Pfiffner bandshell, loop past Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) and finish with bagels, bananas and refreshments at the bandshell.
The race is $25 for participants 18 and older and $20 for students ages 3 to 18. There is a family registration fee cap of $100. Pre-registration is available online at www.stpaulequips.com. To take advantage of the family registration amount, registration must be done in person at the St. Paul Lutheran School office, 1919 Wyatt Ave., Stevens Point.
