Peter L. Horsch, 52, formerly of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly from natural causes Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at his home in Madison.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. Visitation will be from noon until time of services Saturday at the chapel.

He was born March 3, 1965, in Round Lake, lll., the son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Schabow) Horsch. At the age of 13, he moved with his family to Stevens Point, and he graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 1983.

He earned his CIS degree from Mid-State Technical College and began working for the Wood County Courthouse System. He moved to Madison 10 years ago and began his career at WPS Corporation in the company’s computer technology department.

He recently began working in the CPU department for the State of Wisconsin Employee Trust Fund.

He was an automobile enthusiast, photographer, and he loved computers and working with drones.

He is survived by four brothers and sisters, George (Carol) Schabow, Christine Dye, Adam Roberts (Richard Janis), and Kathleen (Dale) Skibba; and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by one sister, Sharon Schabow.
